Kim Hanskamp, badass surf photographer

More and more women have become accomplished #surferphotographers. Meet @kimhanskamp: #surfing for over 10 years and shooting for just as long, she realised about a year ago she could marry both.

Starting #surfphotography on land, the #activesports lover quickly decided to take a dive ( "I love being in the water and closer to the action!") and got an #splwaterhousing. Her trademark hypersaturated cold blues and greys, which had earned her an award with a startling portrait of a blue-eyed girl (reminiscent of the famous Afghan Girl portrait shot by S.Curry), are now making #waves in the #surfindustry.

Always on the move, from Latin America, to Europe and Australia, Kim seems to be living the #dreamlife. "What is the dream life? That life does include mood swings and doubt as well.". Nothing however will stop her shooting or hanging by the #ocean, not even a rather frightful motorbike accident. "I realize what a great and fortunate life I live. And I do not know how to do it any another way."
